AN AMERICAN IN PARIS – SHOW REVIEW

May 12, 2023

This musical was absolutely gorgeous. I just couldn’t believe my eyes at the vibrancy in it. The romance, the dancing, the singing, all of it was just perfect, even down to the last minute details.

As a final student musical, this was surely a bang to end with. It was also extremely well done on the history side, and as a WW2 history buff, this made my little heart happy.

I do want to mention a specific actress, who was positively amazing the entire show. Lise (Maranda Syrko) was done so perfectly and you could see the hard work oozing off of her. In the first show, the actors started to really get into being confident in their roles in front of people and she just shined in the second act.

The set design was also immaculate, with the see-through frosted windows and the final stage, and the bridge, and the projections—the projections were so perfect.

I loved this show, and I really hope next school year’s shows will be as high quality as this one!
