“HOUSE OF HOLLOW” REVIEW

BOOKING IT WITH EMMA

January 31, 2023

House of Hollow is a paranormal fiction novel by Krystal Sutherland. Beware: this review contains spoilers!

The book gave twists and turns I wasn’t expecting whatsoever. When I first started reading this book, I was head over heels for Grey Hollow.

The three Hollow sisters went missing, but miraculously were found exactly one month later–on the exact street where they had gone missing.

Vivi and Grey Hollow like to use their gifts for their own enjoyment, while Iris does everything she can to not use her gift.

The story starts off with a prologue about how Iris Hollow realized she was strange. It then leads into the plot. This story is about Iris and her older sister Vivi following breadcrumbs to find their oldest sister Grey.

Upon finding her sister, Iris finds out a terrible secret that Grey has been hiding from her and Vivi ever since their reappearance.

Iris ends up going through hell and back to find her sisters, though when she does, she finds out the ugly truth about her family and the secret Grey has been hiding from them. Watch out for the plot twist at the end, as you’ll never expect it.

This story kept me intrigued the entire time, and I never wanted to put it down. I give this book a 4.5/5, and it is definitely one of my favorites. I’ll definitely look out for more of Krystal Sutherland’s books.
