The most complex relationship you will ever have is the one you have with yourself. The way you feel about yourself will affect every other relationship in your life, so it’s important to treat yourself with respect and always have your best interest in mind when not many others do.

If you struggle with loving, finding, or being there for yourself it’s important to spend more time alone. Take yourself on dates. Pack a picnic and watch the sunset. Blast your favorite songs on a late night drive. Buy yourself flowers. Go out into nature and draw what you see.

Realize that getting into a relationship or a friendship isn’t going to change the way you feel about yourself. You will find love I promise but that can’t be the only reason you keep going. Find ways to love life now. Without anybody else. You deserve the same love you freely give out to others.
