I feel like all of my columns so far have been good recipes but not necessarily good-for-you recipes. I decided that you and I probably need some healthier options. So, this is an introduction to a new special edition to my column, “Knead to Know: How to Save?” See what I did there? Like saving calories? No? Okay, fine, just let me explain it to you.
A lot of times, when people post healthy recipes or easy protein-filled snacks, they look too good to be true. And also, a lot of the time, they are too good to be true. In my column so far, I’ve been testing recipes posted by various cooking websites and telling you guys about how easy it is to make and how good it tastes. I’ll basically be doing the same, but this time I’ll be rating how “healthy” it really tastes. Obviously, they aren’t going to be perfect and sweet like our favorite sugar and calorie-filled desserts, but I’ll see how good they work to quench all of our sweet teeth. So, from now on, if you need to know if a recipe is too pasty or dry from protein powder, or nasty from the weirdly common uses of cottage cheese in these recipes, send it to me. I will cook and try them and let you know everything you need to before you decide to buy all the ingredients and waste your money.
My first healthy column will be featuring a chocolate cheesecake; sound unhealthy? Well, normally it would be. Make sure to stay updated with The SIREN and the Instagram to see when I post it and how I do it.
