This week, I watched The Forge (2024). It’s a really good movie about never giving up and trusting God and others to help you get through tough times. It takes place with a young guy who feels like he’s all alone and doesn’t know what to do with his life. The movie shows us how, sometimes, we think we have to do everything by ourselves, but in reality, it’s okay to ask for help.
The Forge shows us that the real strength is trusting God and the people He puts in our lives. When we pray and ask God for help, He can guide us and make our paths easier. Throughout the movie, the main character learns that perseverance—sticking with it even when things are hard—is super important. But he also learns that he doesn’t have to rely only on himself. With faith in God and help from others, he starts to see that things get better.
The film shows how prayer and trusting God can change your whole outlook and help you find your purpose. It’s a reminder that God has a plan for everyone, and if we trust Him, our lives will be better than we could ever imagine.
By the way, if you’re wondering where this movie falls on my sleep scale, I’d give it a solid 10/10 because it kept me so engaged I didn’t fall asleep at all. It was really interesting and inspiring the whole time!

The story also teaches that, sometimes, God uses our struggles to help us grow. When we stay faithful and keep going, even when it’s tough, God is working behind the scenes. The movie encourages us to let go of old habits and give new things a chance—it’s never too late to change your life around.
Additionally, The Forge isn’t just a standalone story; it’s technically a spin-off of War Room (2015), rather than a direct sequel. Both films are faith-based and set in the same universe, created by the Kendrick Brothers. It was cool to see how they connect and build on each other’s messages.
Overall, The Forge is a really inspiring movie. It shows that, with faith in God and support from others, we can get through anything. It teaches us that we don’t have to face life’s challenges alone, because God is always there to help us. When we trust Him, we can find strength and purpose in His plan for our lives.
