Have you been watching Madea lately? If not, how are you even managing to get a good laugh? They are absolutely some of the best comedy movies out there. Anyway, if you haven’t heard, there’s a new movie called Joe’s College Road Trip.
Going into this, I expected nothing but excellence, and I was so thrilled to discover that it was exactly what I hoped for, and even more. If you haven’t seen the trailer or watched it yet, I strongly urge you to do so. Not only is it genuinely funny, but it also provides a valuable overview of history, the history of Black people, and the struggles our ancestors endured.

Now, as for my overall experience, I genuinely wish my sleep scale were out of 100 because this movie would earn a perfect score—literally, all points. It was not only an eye-opening lesson but also highly engaging, with a compelling plot that kept me hooked from start to finish. The storyline was expertly crafted, and the humor was just the right amount of sharp and relatable, making the entire viewing experience truly enjoyable.
I recommend that people go and watch this movie. It’s a good movie that combines entertainment with education—an essential history lesson in a format that’s accessible and impactful. However, I do want to mention that viewers should be at least 13 years old because there is a little profanity, and Grandpa Joe doesn’t hold back. Sorry to say, but the realism and honesty are part of what make this film so authentic and powerful. All in all, Joe’s College Road Trip is a must-watch.
It’s funny, educational, and inspiring—a rare combination that I believe everyone should experience.
