House of the Dead is a horror movie that I recently watched, and honestly, it was kind of interesting in a weird way, but it also made me a little mad at some points.
The movie is about a group of people who go to an island and end up fighting zombies. The story isn’t the best, and there are moments where I thought, “Why did they do that?” or “That’s dumb,” because some of their choices didn’t make sense and made me frustrated. Like, some characters made really bad decisions that I would have definitely taken back if I was in their place. It’s like they kept making the same mistakes over and over, and it just made the movie more annoying than exciting.
There are also some parts where the acting was really bad, and it made me want to shake the characters and tell them to do things differently. The special effects weren’t that great either, or sometimes it looked really cheesy, which kind of added to the weird vibe of the movie. It’s one of those films where you’re just waiting for something to happen, but it feels like it’s dragging on forever. The pacing is slow, and most of the time it seems like nothing really important is going on.

Even though it was frustrating at times, I kind of liked how cheesy it was, and it’s definitely one of those movies you watch just for fun, even if it’s not good. I’d give it a 4 out of 10 because it’s not a good movie, but it’s not the worst either. It has those moments that make you mad, but also ones that make you laugh because of how bad they are.
I’m trying to watch more older movies instead of just new ones all the time. I think it’s good to see movies from different times because it helps me understand how filmmaking has changed. Watching House of the Dead was part of that, even if I wish they had done some things differently. There are definitely things I would take back if I could, especially some dumb decisions the characters made. But in the end, it was a weird experience, and I guess it was kind of fun in its own messed-up way.
