A huge debate that separates my household is the amount of chocolate chips that go into the cookie. Every time I make a batch with my sister she puts most of the bag- if not all– into the cookies. I’d rather savor the buttery-brown sugar taste of the cookie, than let it be overwhelmed by chocolate chips. I may be a little biased though: I have braces. Sometimes it’s really annoying when I’m eating and something hard (like a chocolate chip) bends the wire in the back of my mouth (if you’ve never had braces you probably won’t understand but it’s irritating.).
Because of this, I decided to look and see if any polls have been done about it. Why would a website create a poll about chocolate chips? I didn’t know why anyone would, but I was sure the internet would have something about it. Well I was wrong. I couldn’t find any solid polls so I just had to settle… for Google.
It seems like the maximalist chocolate-chippers are the most popular. They’re the type of people to say “there’s never too many.” They like to double the normal amount suggested in recipes – reading about their monstrous love for chocolate was almost like watching a trailer for a horror movie. I couldn’t disagree more, but I guess to each their own. Even though it’s the majority of people, if you offer me a cookie and there’s too many (if i deem there to be too many) chocolate chips- just know… I’m judging you. With love though don’t worry.
Maybe.
