For this week’s review I did a column on Family Plan 2. To be truthful, I never watched the first one, so I might have been a little lost in the plot, but it was interesting. I don’t have an amazing rating on this. I do give it a 5/10 because it just kept putting me to sleep.

There were a whole lot of things in this movie that were repeated, like the fact that Dan and Finn had the same father, and Finn was only there for revenge. In reality, this would’ve been a great addition, but you kinda lose the plot along the way because it starts to feel as if he isn’t just trying to get revenge for being given up.
I get that growing up without a father was tough then finding out he was really wealthy hurt, but it honestly doesn’t give you the right to hurt someone and their family because of your past trauma. It just didn’t make sense how Finn could be this upset about not having a father but then proceeded to try and take Dan away from his wife and kids.
It was a complete double standard and just had me wondering why he thought it was okay to traumatize his nieces and nephews. In this, I also question how their father even became rich and what it was that Finn was exactly going after and if he really knew himself what it is that he was truly chasing because it felt like he really just didn’t know what he wanted or was chasing.

That scene shows all over TikTok and is even in the trailer, and I feel as though it gives you a false narrative of what the movie is about because it’s not about how he got away and where his family goes; it’s about the why and the what.
