This week on Lights, Camera, Action I am covering more pictures involving nature. As you know, these types of pictures typically are not my strong suit. But none the less I have used these past pictures to practice my editing techniques. I would really like to keep attempting to take more pictures of nature. It tends to be pretty peaceful and turns out beautifully.

This picture was taken in Summersville, West Virginia. I recommend this beautiful place as a great family vacation destination. I took this on my way back from an engagement photo shoot. The lighting seeping through the trees and the way it covers the ground is so elegant. The longer you look the more detail you discover.

I took this picture two days ago when the big snowstorm hit. It left a beautiful white blanket on my yard and covered the trees perfectly. When taking this, I was a little nervous that the reflection of the snow would cause a glare on my lens, but luckily it did not! This had been my first time taking pictures in the winter and I can’t wait to explore more. Recently, I’ve had someone reach out and asked me to take photo shoots for the next time it snows.

I would say this is 100% my favorite photo of nature. I’ve taken this far. I took this while rushing out the door on an early Sunday morning for church. It was right after a pretty big rain storm. Which made the web sine in a way. I love how the web spreads across the entire lens and it really shows how beautiful nature is and the complicity of a spider’s web. The little raindrops in between parts of the web really helped to show the detail.
