In my experience, I have more commonly taken pictures of people rather than nature. Nature portrays a huge role in my photo shoots. Taking pictures of wildlife and nature aren’t typically my forte, but I would love to show you some of my attempts to capture nature!
I took this picture in Erie, Pennsylvania. This was the first trip that I took my camera on. I love how I caught the ripples of the small waves. If you look closely to the right side, you can see some ducks in the background. I would have loved to get a closer shot on them, but I did not get the chance to. I’m thinking about starting to focus on taking wildlife photos, rather than portraits of people.

I believe I have posted my friend, Drew, before on this page. This photo is from her farm. The location of her house makes for the best lighting and amazing sunsets! I love how I edited this photo. I think it made the color of the grass more natural and appealing.
The light fog over the trees in the background makes an amazing contrast. I do wish that the background was a little less blurry, that’s currently a skill I’m working to perfecting. Recently, I have improved my techniques slightly, but surely there is still room to learn. But this is by far my favorite picture of nature I’ve taken.

This is another picture of Lake Erie. I didn’t have all my settings set up at this time, so it didn’t capture all of the details I wanted to. I think that using the flash helped get the ground in front of the picture. The color of the sky is beautiful. The orange reflects on the clouds, and it creates shadows.
Sunsets are one of my favorite things to watch. This coming summer, I plan to go on my senior trip. I haven’t chosen a location yet, but I hope to take amazing pictures!
Thank you for joining me this week on Lights, Camera, Action! to cover Nature’s portrait! Next week I’ll be covering couples homecoming photos!
