This week, I watched Freakier Friday. It came out over the summer, but it still is in theaters. I recommend watching this, especially because Halloween is coming up. It falls under the category of romance and comedy.
Freakier Friday is the second part of Freaky Friday. The movie brings back Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, who still play the same characters. For those who don’t remember, Lohan plays Anna Coleman, while Curtis plays Tess Coleman, Anna’s mother. One of the new characters featured in this film is Anna Coleman’s daughter, Harper Coleman, played by Julia Butters. Also added is a family from England, Eric and his daughter, Lily Rayes. Lily is played by Sophia Hammons, and Eric is played by Manny Jacinto.
The movie is about the two families combining through Anna and Eric’s engagement. Since the daughters hate each other, they don’t want the wedding to happen. Every time they are at school, they get in trouble and are sent to detention.
Anna sees this as a problem and tries to force them to spend time together. She takes them to her bachelorette party, where her and her mom continued to argue because she feels as though her mom is always undermining her as a parent. As they are arguing, a girl offers to read Tess and Anna’s future. When she does, she brings up their past switch, causing them to run away.
After the parents leave, the girls, Harper and Lilly, get their futures read. Since they’re selfish, all they care to know is if their parents don’t actually get married. The fortune teller keeps repeating the phrase, “Change the hearts you know are wrong, to reach the place where you belong.” When the girls see that she’s not helping them, they decide to leave and go home. After they leave, the whole room starts shaking.

When they wake up, they realize that they have all swapped bodies. Anna swaps bodies with her daughter, Harper, while Tess switches with her soon-to-be stepsister, Lily.
I want to spoil the rest, but if I do that, what’s the fun in you watching it? I’ll just let you figure out the rest.
For my review on my Sleep Scale, I feel like it was a 8.5/10. It was very interesting, but I feel like the ending could’ve been stronger. The climax didn’t have a huge affect, so the falling actions just weren’t as interesting. In saying that, the drama aspect hooked me very much, and helped me get through it to the end. It was very beautiful.
