HOW TO STYLE A LAZY LOOK

FASHION TIPS WITH MEG

October 12, 2020

Welcome back to another Fashion tips With Meg. Do you ever wake up for school and think to yourself, “I think it’s a hoodie type of day.” Of course you have – we all have. the key is to make it fashionable. Today, I’m going to give you two signature looks and how to style them. These are my tips and tricks on taking a lazy day look and making it runway ready!

The sweatpants and hoodie look

Trust me, we’ve all just wanted to wear sweatpants and a hoodie to school or work, but sometimes, we can’t without looking like we didn’t even try this morning. Here are my favorite sweatpants and hoodie looks that will keep you comfortable, but stylish.

1. Grab your favorite hoodie that you have in your closet and throw a jean jacket or winter/puffer coat over the hoodie. Pair it with lightweight sweatpants or pants of your choice, and a comfy pair of sneakers like Vans or Nike. Style your hair in a slick back ponytail. For accessories, add a pair of earrings and a shoulder bag (yes, a shoulder bag again, but you can never go wrong with one!) and now, you are a fashion icon!

2. If the first look isn’t really your style- maybe this one is! Find a graphic hoodie with any design you like and find a pair of sweatpants that match the hoodie. If you can’t find sweatpants that match… any black or neutral color sweatpants will do. Pair the look with a low rise, slick back bun in your hair (or a beanie, if you are having a bad hair day.) For the shoes, wear your favorite pair of Vans and you’re ready for the day!

The jeans and a sweatshirt look

A lot of people don’t like hoodies and would rather wear sweatshirts. Well, for you sweatshirt people, I have some looks for you too!

1. Find a plain colored sweatshirt (any color that you prefer) and pair it with high rise ripped jeans. This look can be paired with any type of sneaker or boots. Grab some rings and earrings for accessories and grab your favorite fanny pack or shoulder bag. This look is one of my favorites because it’s so simple and super cute all in one.

2. Now, this one is more colorful and you can wear this anytime you please. Grab your favorite band or graphic sweatshirt and pair it with some plain jeans that are light washed or dark colored. Grab your high tops, your pair of aesthetically pleasing earrings, and an over the shoulder fanny pack. You will be rocking your new 90s look while still staying lazy!

I hope you enjoyed and found some new looks for when you’re too lazy to dress professionally. These are super easy looks. They work with all body types and are comfy, yet cute! Stay fabulous and see you on the next Fashion tips With Meg.
