As the weather gets warmer, at least that’s what it seems (it’s hard to tell with the questionable Pennsylvania weather), sweaters, long shirts, and thick clothing start to go back in our closet. For me, I know it gets difficult to find a good outfit when I’m constantly wanting to wear sweaters. It makes it harder when I really don’t like wearing tank tops. However, there are many different outfits you can create and still be comfortable in. Here are a few of my favorite summer outfits:
1. Jean Shorts + A Simple T-Shirt
This is probably the easiest it can get. Everyone most likely has a graphic tee shirt in their closet, whether that’s of a band, show, or even a cool design. Pairing that with short shorts, or even a jean skirt, can work beautifully.
2. Airy Long Dress or Short Dress
A simple dress can go a long way. You can choose to wear a short one or a long one, and it will still be comfortable. Every summer, I always wear the same long blue and white dress because it’s thin enough that I can breathe in it.
3. Mesh Tights
Tights are a great element to add to your outfits for summer and winter. You can wear them to help warm your legs, but during the summer, you can add them to your outfit to give it more life. I personally hate just wearing shorts, so at times, I’ll wear a pair of cute tights under my shorts.
4. Knitted Sleeveless Shirt + Skirt
This is one of my favorite combinations. I have a weird obsession for anything knitted, so a nice sleeveless shirt just leaves me satisfied. Anything can be paired with this, but I personally love wearing a nice skirt during the summer, whether that’s a long flowy one, or a short one.
5. Tank Top + Loose Fit Mesh Shirt + Boots
I know I said I’m not a fan of tank tops, but I love those loose shirts that are see-through. This outfit has that western-style look that I love at times. When you add in some nice boots, or even cowboy boots, it just brings the whole fit together.
6. Anything Silk
Silk is such a nice fabric. It’s breathable and, honestly, a nice material to wear during the summer. Pair a nice silk skirt with a white tank top, or even good pants with a silk shirt. I have two silk long-sleeve shirts that I have even worn during the summer time.
Like always, remember that not everyone’s wardrobes are the same. You may not have the same style as me or the same clothes as me. Make outfits your own.
