Joselyn Moore, a Writing and Publishing student in 10Ths grade, was interviewed. In which we talk about her experiences as an artist.
“When I decided to buy a canvas from Goodwill and use all my grandma’s old paint.” Joselyn said when asked about how she started as an artist. But it was a lie.
“Oh okay that’s really nice.” The interviewer remarked. “I didn’t expect something that wholesome.”
“Me neither, I made it up. I don’t know how I started off as an artist. Like-like I’ve been scribbling since i was like-one. And like-”
“Have you just always drawn??”
“Yes, like actually genuinely-according to my dad. Let’s just use the first one. We can say triage peak was like-in 2018”
As you can tell…I used both answers.
When asked what motivates her, Jocelyn said “ Umm…seeing um people who are better than me and it makes me just wanna destroy them”
“That motivates you?”
“No. Uh nothing, I just do it.”
When it comes to Joselyn’s creative process, she said “So i go on pinterest and I steal pictures off of there.” Which many other artists can relate to.
Joselyn describes her art style as “horrible.”
“Like-Like actually genuinely like it’s so freaking bad.”
Joscelyn struggles with feet, Hands, the “other eye”, and anatomy. Which many artists can relate to.
The reason Joselyn isn’t in the media is because they rejected her…then she also revealed to me that she submitted Baku-Deku fanart.
Interviewing Joselyn was…interesting. I hope you laughed and enjoyed reading about her. If you’d like to be featured in any future columns in Outside the Lines, then email me at [email protected]
