SENIOR SEASON

As the second semester begins, for many of us seniors, it is our last. As someone who has been here since the seventh grade, a third of my life has been spent within these walls. Seeing as this chapter is soon coming to a close, it is equally important to both look back on and forward to my Lincoln Park experience. I am not alone in regards to those who have been here since the beginning. I spoke with someone from each major who has been here since the seventh grade, presenting the simple question: What are you looking forward to in this last semester?

Lucas Cain, Writing and Publishing 

I think it’s just a matter of experiencing what the school has left for me to experience. You know, that existential dread that drives you to want to make the most of your time that’s left here.

Creating relationships and habits that will last long past high school.

One of the things I’m looking forward to is finding out where all of us end up. 

Dance, Emma Stefanik

Seeing how much I’ve grown. I’m ready to look back at how far I’ve come as a student and person when I’ll be graduating. It’s been a crazy time and Lincoln Park and I’m excited to end high school doing what I love with all my friends!

Music, Jacquee Paul 

Probably doing all of the things I’ve done for the past six years for the last time and having a great time with my friends.

Health Science, Emmy Scullion

Being able to spend these last few months with the friends that I’ve made throughout the years. I’m also extremely excited for graduation and prom.

I’m most looking forward to prom, my final semester performing on the main stage, and working on my senior theme!

Theater, Evan Kurtzhal 

I’m excited and hopeful to close out my six years at Lincoln Park. As the high school years progress and we get older, we can bond and learn more from mentors that we have and look back on the progress, memories achievements and friends we’ve made since middle school.
